Herman Koch (1953) is known as a television producer (Jiskefet) and writer.
In 2009 the book “Het diner” was published, the novel that made Herman Koch world famous. The rights to “Het diner” have been sold to nearly 50 countries and the novel was on The New York Times bestseller list for weeks.
Worldwide, more than 2.5 million copies were sold. In early 2017, the American film adaptation of The Dinner premiered with Richard Gere in the lead role.
