The old library in Arnhem was a strict and closed building. It lies on a fault line between the historic city center and the post-war buildings around it. A large-scale renovation has given the building a second life, partly due to the application of specially developed glass panels. Due to its openness and transparency, the building has found its place and no longer functions as a dividing line but as a hinge between the two districts.
